Material Handlers of Linen under the direction of Supply Chain Management receive, store, collect, track, and transport linen (sterile, clean, and/or soiled) and other supplies (surgical equipment, food service items, etc.) as needed throughout SJML including off-site locations. This role requires working well with teams, independently, efficiently, and in a safe manner. The position routinely utilizes computers, tracking software, handheld units, and associated Supply Chain equipment. There is a potential to be assigned to a linen/supply delivery route and driving a delivery van. Driving responsibilities include performing Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI), monitoring the physical condition of the van, and filling the van with gas. The ideal candidate will have a complete understanding and demonstrated proficiency of all area work tasks.
