About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials to appropriate areas, assisting welders/operators, performing cycle counts, pulling orders, emptying chip and scrap buckets, loading/unloading trucks, performing forklift audits and maintenance, supporting the area with damage-free skids and pans, investigating and resolving order problems, using software to verify inventory status, maintaining a neat work area, working outdoors as needed, and following all safety and PPE requirements. This role also includes other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
6 months job related experience, manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of job related experience.
Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to pass Fork Lift Certification process
Possess basic computer operating and data entry skills with knowledge of shipping software.

Nice To Haves

Ability to use pallet jack and overhead crane preferred.

Responsibilities

Move material to appropriate areas throughout the plant and document in accordance with established procedures.
Assist welder/operators with lifting and moving materials.
Perform cycle counts in accordance with established procedures.
Pull orders/components and deliver to appropriate areas.
Empty chip and scrap buckets into correct receptacle.
Load/Unload trucks and document transaction in accordance with established procedures.
Perform forklift audit and preventative maintenance.
Support area with damage-free skids and pans.
Investigate and resolve identified problems with orders.
Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives.
Must be able to perform work duties on occasion, outdoors as needed.
Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
