About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently moving raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility to support production and shipping operations. This role ensures accuracy in documentation, compliance with safety standards, and collaboration across departments to maintain smooth workflow and high-quality output.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Forklift certification and material handling experience required.
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move up to 50 lbs regularly; occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching required.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of inventory control and shipping/receiving processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-moving equipment to transport products and supplies.
  • Read and interpret job tickets and layouts to ensure correct materials are delivered to production.
  • Execute production schedules accurately and promptly to maximize throughput.
  • Coordinate workflow with associates across departments to maintain efficiency.
  • Accurately complete required documentation for job tracking, payroll, and inventory control.
  • Enter data into systems to support production and shipping accuracy.
  • Label and identify waste containers properly and maintain compliance with disposal procedures.
  • Adhere to facility safety policies and procedures, including GMP, HACCP, and BRC standards.
  • Participate in safety observations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Support daily housekeeping efforts to sustain a safe and efficient warehouse.
