About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting production and warehouse operations through the movement, storage, organization, and replenishment of inventory and materials. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring materials are available when needed, and supporting the efficient flow of products throughout our 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility. At Litania Sports Group, our brands—Gill and Porter—have been recognized as industry leaders in track & field, basketball, and volleyball for over 100 years. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficient computer skills, including ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
  • Current forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to work in a drug-free workplace and pass required screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Bar code scanning experience.
  • Overhead crane operation experience or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Fabrication or welding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Move, store, restock, and rotate inventory throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Ensure materials are placed in correct storage locations and inventory bins.
  • Read work orders and production schedules to determine material requirements.
  • Deliver materials and supplies to production areas to support manufacturing operations.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
  • Sort, organize, and stage materials for production and shipment.
  • Record inventory movements and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Verify materials, quantities, and locations using bar code scanning and inventory systems.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and warehouse organization activities.
  • Inspect materials and report inventory discrepancies or damaged products.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Support other warehouse and manufacturing functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
