About The Position

Safely moves finished goods and supplies to designated areas ensuring all associated documentation is accurately filled out and properly submitted. This role involves operating a forklift, performing safety checks, staging raw materials, completing finished goods inventory, documenting scrap, and maintaining good housekeeping. The position requires adherence to all company policies regarding safety, quality, and attendance, and active participation in safety programs.

Requirements

  • Ability to wear all required PPE (steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, and other PPE as required).
  • Ability to operate a fork lift safely at all times.
  • Ability to read and understand Company documents.
  • Ability to communicate with other employees.
  • Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, simple checklists, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and in small group situations.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ration and percent.
  • Reasoning skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner and report all observed safety hazards to management.
  • Act as a role model for Safety on the shift.
  • Participate in safety programs by reporting Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts and Close Calls; enter Near Miss data and Observations into Global Data Center database (GDC).
  • Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times.
  • Performs safety check before using forklift each shift.
  • Accurately stage and return Raw Materials for Production using the correct scripts.
  • Complete a skid of finished goods at the correct quantity.
  • Remove finished goods from the line in a timely manner, and place on production wrapper with the correct label applied to the skid.
  • Proper documenting and disposition of scrap.
  • Accurately document all required end of shift paperwork.
  • Possess great housekeeping skills.
  • Perform put-away, and scan finished goods to the correct bin location.
  • Clear the release areas, Stretch, and Custom, of all finished goods and maintain it.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Management, Supervisor or Lead.
