About The Position

This role is responsible for operating a Powered Industrial Truck safely and efficiently, adhering to MIOSHA and company standards. The Material Handler will unload and stack materials, load and unload racks and containers onto trucks, and inventory materials on the work floor. Responsibilities also include weighing materials, recording weights, and ensuring correct tagging of all containers. The position requires performing all duties and operating machinery according to safety standards and using required safety equipment. Daily safety and operational checks are mandatory. The role involves assisting in departmental operations as needed, maintaining clean work areas, participating in continuous improvement activities, and performing other duties as directed by a supervisor.

Operates Powered Industrial Truck safely and efficiently and in accordance with MIOSHA and company standards.
Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
Completes safety and operational checks daily.
Keeps work areas clean and orderly.

Responsibilities

Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Loads and unloads racks and/or containers onto trucks.
Inventories materials on work floor.
Weighs material/products, records weight on tags, labels and/or production schedules.
Loads/unloads materials onto and/or off pallets, skids or lifting device.
Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank or replaces liquefied gas tank.
Ensures correct tagging is on all containers prior to moving.
Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment.
Completes safety and operational checks daily.
Helps in departmental operation wherever necessary.
Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
Participates in continuous improvement activities.
Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
