About The Position

The Material Handler works at OBE’s Miami, Florida facility, moving glass and metal products and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations. OBE provides training and opportunities to advance into roles with greater responsibility and pay. The role is for someone who works professionally as part of a team and is committed to continuous improvement and workplace safety.

This position involves handling products for eight or more hours daily and using a variety of tools and equipment. Employees must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including regularly lifting and moving items weighing up to 75 pounds and standing for up to 10 hours per day.

Requirements

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• An uncompromising safety-first approach in the workplace.
• Frequently lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach.
• Stand on concrete while wearing steel-toe boots for up to 10 hours per day.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Work in varied temperatures consistent with the region’s climate, including heat and humidity.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move glass and metal products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Use tools and equipment to manipulate glass.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
