About The Position
O’Neal Steel is hiring a Material Handler at its Ambridge, Pennsylvania facility. The position loads and unloads material in a warehouse and moves it to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility using material-handling equipment. The role follows established practices, procedures, instructions, and guidelines; its primary functions typically do not require independent judgment. Overtime is required as needed. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a variety of material-handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, and yard dogs.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload material within a warehouse.
- Move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility using material-handling equipment.
- Provide high-quality work to internal and external customers in relation to the position’s output.
