Material Handler (1st Shift) - O'Neal Steel / Ambridge, PA
About The Position
O'Neal Steel is hiring a Material Handler at its Ambridge, Pennsylvania facility. The role loads and unloads material in a warehouse and moves it to and from trucks or trains and around the storage facility using handling equipment. The work follows commonly used practices and procedures, relying on instructions and established guidelines; primary functions generally do not require independent judgment. The position requires providing high-quality work to internal and external customers. Overtime is required as needed. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a variety of material-handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, and yard dogs.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload material within a warehouse.
- Move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility using material-handling equipment.
- Provide high-quality work to internal and external customers related to the position’s output.
