About The Position

Within Fender Musical Instrument Corporation’s global Manufacturing team, the Material Handler for Specialty Brands provides materials to employees in an assigned production area and carries out assignments according to priorities established by the Team Lead or Production Manager. The role supports production by ensuring materials are supplied on time, managing inventory transactions and counts, and maintaining parts supply systems. The position is based in Corona, California.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Good written and verbal English skills.
Basic knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Ability to understand bills of material.
Reliability and ability to work independently as a self-starter.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Strong math skills.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Six months to one year of manufacturing experience, preferably at Fender.

Responsibilities

Understand the flow of material from raw material to finished goods and how the assigned area affects the process.
Provide materials to production lines in a timely manner to support the production schedule.
Perform daily goods issue and receipt transactions for sub-assemblies and finished goods.
Maintain hour-by-hour charts.
Set up and maintain the parts supermarket and kanban.
Fill parts bins on the production floor hourly or daily.
Create daily parts pick-lists for the warehouse to pull non-kanban parts.
Perform cycle counts as needed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Identify and correct inventory discrepancies.
Work collaboratively and communicate in a positive, helpful, and constructive manner.
Read and understand production schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
Inform the lead of production issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
