About The Position

The Material Handler performs warehouse picking and quality-control functions to ensure products and orders are handled and shipped correctly. The role uses a pallet jack as needed, stages and prepares products according to client requirements, and follows Standard Operating Procedures. Associates are also responsible for workplace safety, facility cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and assigned building, grounds, or equipment maintenance. The position may require overtime as dictated by business needs.

Responsibilities

Pick orders accurately using a pallet jack and stage products in appropriate areas.
Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products according to client requirements.
Use appropriate documentation to verify that products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
Check products and orders against quality standards and report damages or discrepancies.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS standards.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area and assist with warehouse security.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow prescribed work methods, maintain equipment, and report equipment problems.
Perform or assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work overtime as dictated by business needs, whether mandatory or voluntary.
