About The Position

Ryder is hiring a warehouse associate in Minooka, Illinois, to support warehouse fulfillment and distribution. Products handled include consumer packaged goods. The role may involve loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting, as well as accurate product handling, warehouse paperwork, and support for an automated packing system. The position pays weekly, with an hourly rate of $22.63 and an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Paid on-the-job training and safety gear are provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid certified Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment and maintain professional relationships across organizational levels.
• Thoroughness, dependability, punctuality, and a good attendance record.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Ability to lift and/or push or pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work using health and safety methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various work shifts.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects of the automated packing system during the core production shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
