Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Frequently required to stand.
  • Occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner by getting along with customers, clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, and all other employees.
  • Adhering to and maintaining all quality system procedures and requirements related to the position.
  • Adhering to all safety rules and Company policies.
  • Conferring with Shift Supervisor and monitoring schedule board for job and priority changes.
  • Checking hoppers hourly; maintaining proper materials and temperatures.
  • Recording material lot numbers and providing information to Warehouse and Quality affecting accuracy and timeliness of both inventory and usage.
  • Pulling material as requested by manufacturing and drying if it is required.
  • Calculating amount of material required and placing at machine or holding area.
  • Cleaning and inspecting hopper and loader before loading new material.
  • Inspecting and cleaning or replacing filters, hoses, clamps, and latches during change overs.
  • Attaching hopper tag with all required information; correcting discrepant situations.
  • Notifying maintenance of equipment failures.
  • Providing materials to operators as needed.
  • Returning unused material to storage.
  • Taking scrap off of the floor.
  • Mixing materials when required.
  • Providing training for new employees.
  • Responsible for production and scheduling regarding inventory levels, inventory changes, and materials requirements.
  • Cleaning as needed; vacuuming presses, cleaning up any spills, etc.
