About The Position

JELD-WEN is seeking a Material Handler to support production and warehouse operations. Depending on assignment, the role involves handling and preparing materials, supplying the assembly floor, assisting with assembly, and retrieving raw, semi-finished, and finished products for proper assembly. The position also includes operating a forklift, performing start-of-shift preventative maintenance inspections, supporting inventory cycle counts, identifying and reporting defective materials, labeling finished products to match paperwork, and keeping the work area and equipment clean and orderly. Other general warehouse duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate propane and/or electric forklift vehicles.
• Perform a preventative maintenance inspection at the start of the shift.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Prepare and handle materials.
• Gather materials needed to support the assembly floor.
• Assist with assembly operations.
• Detect and report defective materials.
• Label finished products to match appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Retrieve raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products for proper assembly.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.
