About The Position

The Material Handler receives, inspects, records, stores, and distributes materials in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. The role also prepares merchandise for shipment, maintains inventory accuracy, supports audits and the 5S program, and follows workplace safety practices. The position is located in Fort Worth, Texas, and is listed as first shift. Pay is $16 per hour, with overtime paid at $24 per hour.

Requirements

Effective communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
0–1 years of experience.
Data-entry and computer knowledge, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
High school diploma.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to 8 hours a day.
Ability to frequently carry up to 60 pounds for distances of up to 30 feet.
Full range of motion of the waist and neck.
Unrestricted use of the upper extremities and ability to perform overhead reaching.
Ability to frequently bend to the floor, twist, and kneel.
Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Unpack and check received goods against purchase orders or invoices and maintain records of received goods.
Reject unsatisfactory, damaged, or defective items.
Lift or move heavy items.
Operate equipment to move materials to the appropriate department or storage location.
Store materials in designated locations after receiving them in the system.
Examine inventory and distribute materials and supplies to manufacturing lines.
Monitor inventory integrity and research inventory discrepancies.
Prepare goods for final shipment and maintain records of shipped merchandise.
Embrace the safety culture.
Participate in audits and the 5S program.
Apply moderate knowledge of continuous improvement activities.
Inform a supervisor or lead of work-related problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
