About The Position

The position of Material Handler II maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock. This role locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying them against pick lists and maintains in-process inventory in production areas by delivering and opening materials and supplies. The Material Handler II is responsible for shipping pallets/cartons and associated documentation. This position requires basic RF equipment knowledge and usage. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include inspecting, receiving, sorting, and shipping component parts and equipment; receiving shipments and signing paperwork; assisting in the unloading process for palletized goods and single carton deliveries; ensuring freight has been correctly shipped with all required accompanying documentation; preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product; examining outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications; verifying and keeping records of outgoing shipments; pulling orders and verifying the type and quantity of ordered items; issuing and delivering items, and performing housekeeping activities in the warehouse; maintaining accurate records and assisting in inventory control. The Material Handler II has knowledge of and can execute all associated tasks designated to Material Handlers I. This role requires the use of pallet jacks and ladders and the stamina for long hours of standing, stooping, and bending in a warehouse environment. Flexibility in scheduling is required, and responsibility may include overtime hours based on Company need. The ability to meet and/or exceed daily KPI metrics is essential. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
Basic computer skills.
May access outside carrier programming.
Works well with a team.
Able to ascend and descend ladders safely.
Effective communication skills essential to providing instructions and suggestions regarding all inventory related tasks.
Must pay close attention to detail in order to identify inventory discrepancies.
Clear knowledge of computer systems and ability to navigate and make necessary inventory adjustments.
Capable of thinking creatively/spatially in order to efficiently and effectively organize inventory.
Hands-on and has ambition and drive to succeed - Makes things happen.
Goal oriented and must be accustomed to achieving results through teamwork.
Capable of maintaining the stamina needed for long hours of standing, stooping, bending, in warehouse environment.
Must be able to establish and maintain quality and quantity standards.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Report any damages immediately.
Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipment meets specifications.
Verify and keep records of outgoing shipments.
Pull orders and verify type and quantity of ordered items.
Issue and deliver items, and perform housekeeping activities in the warehouse.
Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
Execute all associated tasks designated to Material Handlers I.
Use pallet jacks and ladders.
Maintain stamina for long hours of standing, stooping, bending, in warehouse environment.
Meet and/or exceed daily KPI metrics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
