About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient, organized movement of materials, products, and goods within the production facility and supports the production team with operational tasks needed to meet manufacturing requirements. The role includes physical and system movement of materials, cycle counting, and shipping finished goods and materials. The Material Handler operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment, as well as production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The position also supports workplace safety, housekeeping, equipment inspections, and cross-training in other areas as workload requires.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of working experience.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow established written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and transfer orders and move materials physically and in company systems.
• Perform cycle counting and ship finished goods and materials.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Operate production equipment according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in safety programs and proactively uphold the safety culture.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Perform required equipment inspections and sweep, dust, mop, and organize the warehouse or work area to ensure safe operation.
• Cross-train and assist in other areas depending on workload.
• Complete other tasks as needed or as directed by management.
