About The Position

Material Handlers use requisitions and order sheets to physically and electronically pick, stage, unstage, and report components and finished goods. They transfer, load, and unload items on pallets to containers, bins, work centers, and trailers according to specific work and order instructions. They verify that the correct items, quantities, and lots are selected, both physically and electronically, and operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks. The role is in manufacturing at the Camco Plant in Florence, Kentucky.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three years of related experience and/or training.
• Forklift certificate, license, or registration.
• RF scan gun experience.
• Ability to perform the work accurately and under pressure.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 5–500 pounds, depending on department.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Load packages onto the correct trucks and into the correct bins.
• Read and comprehend labels to ensure proper processing.
• Work efficiently to meet customer and company expectations, with a high level of accuracy.
• Pick, stage, unstage, transfer, load, unload, and report components and finished goods according to work and order instructions, verifying items, quantities, and lots physically and electronically.
• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
