About The Position

The Material Handler supports production by maintaining warehouse accuracy and promptly fulfilling parts requests. The role requires a strong focus on safety, the ability to manage a high volume of requests and prioritize work, and the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team. The Material Handler continuously works to improve productivity, effectiveness, quality, and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Computer classes and/or production experience with Integrity.
• General knowledge of MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Read, sort, and process complete orders.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and understand visual and written assembly instructions on a computer screen to retrieve parts from a pick list.
• Issue parts to production lines as needed and operate a forklift to move and deliver parts promptly.
• Operate power hand tools, scanners, computers, and other equipment.
• Assist with warehouse inventory upkeep and loading and unloading trucks.
• Notify the Supervisor about mechanical issues or defective materials.
• Receive cross-training in multiple functions within and between departments.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety rules and reporting unsafe conditions or instances.
• Maintain clean docks and warehouse aisles, and stack material neatly and safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
