About The Position

The Material Handler transports raw, in process and finished goods as required by production schedule. Ships and receives materials necessary to meet production goals and requirements. The Material Handler also verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing product & material movements, accurately. Process daily, weekly cycle counts. The Role Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of related to material processing to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Performs monthly physical inventory. Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse, shipping and receiving area and all equipment and supplies found therein; and Observe and follow safety procedures. Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP). Take responsibility for producing high quality product in each step of production. Maintain clean work area in compliance with SQF. Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed Participate in all necessary training is required to successfully perform job responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED Required
  • Minimum one year of experience with forklift operation required
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds or move up to 2500 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and taste or smell.
