About The Position
JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our growing team. This role involves operating forklifts to manage incoming materials, transporting and storing them in designated warehouse areas, and ensuring accurate inventory organization. The Material Handler will also conduct safety checks, maintain a clean warehouse environment, and assist with inventory counts.
Requirements
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to unload and receive materials from incoming trucks.
- Transport and store materials in designated warehouse areas, ensuring accurate placement and inventory organization.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure materials are stored safely and securely.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse by sweeping, organizing, and removing debris.
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies as needed.
