The objective of the Receiver position is to receive in product that has been offloaded using RF scanners, repalletizing items to be stored into its precised locations. This role assists the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse. The Material Handler will utilize an RF Scanner for receiving product, wrapping, staging, and labeling. They will load and unload RJW trucks/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers' equipment. This position requires flexibility to work 10 to 12-hour shifts when necessary and involves moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times. The Material Handler ensures all shipments are correctly scanned and received into the system properly, maintains the warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping, and processes delivered cross-dock freight as necessary. They will oversee storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into storage racks, and record and verify the accuracy of shipments against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries. The role also ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed, follows all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures, and handles all customer products properly and orderly. Additionally, the Material Handler checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage, alerting the Warehouse Supervisor of any problems and taking pictures if necessary. They report all accidents/incidents, employee or stock damage, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately. The role includes spotting trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment, and maintaining access to dock doors by keeping them free of debris or snow. Other tasks may be assigned by the manager/supervisor.
