About The Position
This role is responsible for various material handling tasks within the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Material Handler will operate Power Industrial Trucks (PIT), manage raw material supply to production, and maintain a safe and organized work environment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and a commitment to safety and GMP practices.
Requirements
- Previous PIT training with a license/certification active within 3 years.
- 6 months of PIT operator experience.
- Ability to operate sit-down, stand-up, among other PIT machinery.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum formal education, HS Diploma preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to work with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Successfully complete the Power Industrial Truck Certification Program.
- Practice "Safety First" and observe/adhere to all job safety rules.
- Abide by all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure warehouse is always in SQF Audit readiness.
- Drive forklifts in a safe manner.
- Ensure and organize supply of raw goods to production staging areas.
- Support tote supply function, transferring totes from tote staging area to production.
- Perform assigned tasks as required per SOP guidelines.
- Understand allergen and organic warehousing regulations.
- Complete all other required documentation per SOP guidelines.
- Complete other assignments as requested by leadership.
