Material Handler - 1st Shift

About The Position

As a Material Handler at GXO, you will support warehouse operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility and helping provide supply chain solutions to customers. The role is scheduled for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Duties may include packing, scanning, kitting, counting products, verifying orders, labeling products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds.
Handle or manage tools or equipment.
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.
Routinely carry objects 3–5 feet weighing up to 50 pounds.
Stand for prolonged periods of more than four hours.
Walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day.
Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lifts.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
Experience using a handheld scanner.
A positive attitude and ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
Use hand trucks, conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products.
Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner.
Adhere to the 7S program.
Maintain a clean environment.
Work safely to protect yourself and team members.
