About The Position

This position is responsible for completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. It involves collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations. The role requires carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. The Material Handler manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment, such as a pallet jack. They will also be responsible for identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight, utilizing warehouse management system terminal scales and scanners, and maintaining records, logs, and forms. Additionally, the role requires compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, keeping the work area organized, maintaining freight flow by stacking and moving empty pallets, and monitoring freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance.
