About The Position
The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting production operations within a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and thrives in an industrial manufacturing setting with physically active work and production-driven demands.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and transport materials throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business demands
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or forklift experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Loads and unloads trucks as required.
- Moves product and materials as required between work stations.
- Empties trash containers and removes trash to dumpster.
- Receives bar stock and loads transfer car.
- Performs various cleaning of plant, equipment, buildings, and grounds as required.
- Checks and maintains gas and fluid levels in lift truck.
- Stores product in proper locations, maintains inventory accuracy.
- Logs in inventory locations, shipping and receiving data.
- Participates in training programs as required.
