About The Position

Foamcraft is hiring a Material Handler to prepare custom foam fabrication for shipment in customer-specified quantities and to safely operate an industrial forklift for material-handling assignments. The role involves repetitive, fast-moving, hands-on work that helps ensure products are completed and shipped correctly. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position based onsite in Elkhart, Indiana. Pay starts at $15 per hour; prior experience will be considered. The work involves being on your feet and moving most of the day, repetitive process-driven tasks, and lifting or moving materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds at times. Foamcraft describes its workplace as team-oriented and air-conditioned, and notes that it has been in business for more than 70 years, does not operate on Sundays, and offers opportunities for growth.

Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is helpful but not required.
Forklift experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Gather materials to ensure orders are completed properly.
Pack foam in the proper quantities.
String-tie, plastic-wrap, or place materials in plastic bags as directed.
Mark foam or attach labels to packages as directed.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Keep materials clean, sorted, organized, and easy to access.
Move materials throughout the department safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks as instructed and according to schedules.
Safely and efficiently operate an industrial forklift for material-handling assignments.
