About The Position

Responsible for performing all assigned functions pertaining to procuring, receiving, distributing, and maintaining stock in the Shipping and Distribution departments. Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines. Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization. Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures. Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs). Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time. As part of employment, occupants with be entering/leaving secure medication storage areas, please note these medications should not be handled by non-licensed personnel and it is occupants responsibility area remains locked when exiting. Any issues or concerns regarding medications, can be addressed with a member of the Nursing or Pharmacy staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–2-year material handler experience
  • Near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors
  • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
