About The Position

Ag Processing Inc is hiring for a Material Handler at its Aberdeen soy processing facility. This role involves unloading tank cars and trucks, assisting with product shipments, and occasionally performing quality control testing on materials. The Material Handler will also operate various moving equipment, including drive switches, locomotive/track mobile engines, and forklifts. Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a cooperative that processes, sells, and transports soybeans, grains, and related products. It is one of the largest soybean processing cooperatives globally, with plants processing soybeans for animal feed, vegetable oil, and fuels. AGP is a leading U.S. agribusiness, primarily operating as a soybean processor/refiner producing and marketing soybean meal, refined soybean oil, and biodiesel. Founded over 40 years ago, AGP has grown significantly, with owners including local and regional cooperatives representing approximately 200,000 farmers across the U.S. AGP operates 10 soybean plants in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and South Dakota, four soybean oil refineries, and three biodiesel production facilities. Additionally, AGP produces and markets AminoPlus®, a high-performance soy bypass protein product for the dairy industry.

Responsibilities

  • Official loading of product to railcars and trucks
  • Provide official quality control testing
  • Provide professional customer service
  • Learn start-up and shutdown procedures for equipment
  • Recommend improvements for efficiencies, quality and/or method of operation
  • Participate on committees for safety, projects, sanitation, and quality improvement
  • Assure proper communication with coworkers, superiors and other departments
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Maintain plant safety, cleanliness and work rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned
