About The Position

The Material Handler position involves working with small hand tools to assemble small parts, label, and package products in a fast-paced cell environment. This role requires extensive use of a microscope for assembly and inspection of various small assemblies. Responsibilities include preparing, processing, winding, cleaning, calibrating, testing, soldering, and inspecting components. The handler will work from prints, drawings, method sheets, and diagrams, following established assembly procedures. Additionally, the role involves moving supplies and finished products within the warehouse, reporting defective materials, and maintaining a clean work area. The position is performed in a loud production environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow both written standard work and verbal instructions
  • Good hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills performing repetitive motions
  • Able to work independently and with others
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor
  • Able to lift 30lbs
  • Able to stand for 10 hours
  • Ability to use power tools
  • Must work well with others in a loud production environment
  • Must be able to successfully complete a client specific background check

Responsibilities

  • Work with small hand tools and assemble small parts
  • Label and package product
  • Perform small piece fast-paced assembly in a cell
  • Perform small part assembly using a microscope extensively for assembly and inspection of some products
  • Prepare, process, wind, clean, assemble, calibrate, test, solder and inspect various types of small assemblies
  • Work from prints, drawings, method sheets, diagrams, or other specifications in accordance with established assembly procedures
  • Move part supplies and finished product throughout the warehouse
  • Report defective material or questionable condition to department supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
