About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role involves operating various equipment for material transport, packing, labeling, palletizing, and managing inventory records. The position requires the ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations in English, and must have enough basic education to understand and follow standard practices and instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to work alone without constant supervision.
• The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Moves material to and from various locations using various equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or Forklifts.
• Pack labels and palletize materials as necessary.
• Loads and unloads materials from common carriers, verifies shipping / receiving information.
• Records inventories as required.
• May dispense contract work to individual work sites.
• Performs other activities as requested.
