About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role involves moving materials using various equipment, packing, labeling, palletizing, loading/unloading, verifying shipping/receiving information, and recording inventories. The position may also involve dispensing contract work and performing other requested activities.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations in English, and must have enough basic education to understand and follow standard practices and instructions. This level of knowledge is typically below that of high school.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work alone without constant supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moves material to and from various locations using various equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or Forklifts.
• Pack labels and palletize materials as necessary.
• Loads and unloads materials from common carriers, verifies shipping / receiving information.
• Records inventories as required.
• May dispense contract work to individual work sites.
• Performs other activities as requested.
