About The Position

We’re looking for a dependable Material Handler to support on-site environmental operations by assisting the Environmental Project Supervisor and helping maintain efficient waste handling and recycling processes. This role plays a key part in daily site operations, safety compliance, and continuous improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; some high school education accepted
  • Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and equipment operation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members and customers
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding labor throughout 8–12 hour shifts
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures while wearing required PPE
  • Ability to work in or around confined spaces and wear respiratory protection when required
  • Ability to maintain alertness and safely perform duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed and work extended hours, weekends, or multi-day assignments based on business needs

Responsibilities

  • Handle, sort, and manage waste and recyclable materials in accordance with site and environmental guidelines
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, carts, balers, and foam densifiers to support material movement and processing
  • Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and efficient work areas across the customer facility
  • Support the Environmental Project Supervisor in daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs, documentation, and required recordkeeping for compliance
  • Assist with coordinating site visits, audits, and interactions with suppliers and customer representatives
  • Promote and uphold safety standards, ensuring proper use of PPE and adherence to company policies
  • Help identify cost-saving opportunities and support implementation of efficiency programs
  • Provide guidance or support to team members as directed by leadership
  • Complete assigned tasks and special projects in a timely and effective manner
  • Participate in all required company and customer-specific training programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support site operations
