About The Position

The Material Handler handles, moves, and stores materials within the warehouse and throughout the plant. The role operates a forklift to move products safely and deliver them to the correct locations, while maintaining material-handling equipment and 6S standards. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely while remaining aware of pedestrians, other forklifts, and equipment.
• Multitask to fulfill requests in a timely manner.
• Identify the correct warehouse locations for product deliveries.
• Keep material-handling equipment in good condition by contacting the Maintenance Team for repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Move products throughout the warehouse using a forklift.
• Maintain 6S standards—sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety—in all workstations.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
