About The Position

The Material Handler maintains and moves inventory by receiving, stocking, pulling, packaging, labeling, and loading products for customer orders. The role stores inventory in designated areas, prepares orders for shipment, verifies order placement in staging lines, and helps maintain warehouse safety and security. When assigned to the freezer, the Material Handler loads and unloads freight from trucks. Additional duties may be assigned, and responsibilities may change with or without notice.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to exert force up to 60 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Store inventory using equipment by stacking and arranging it in designated areas.
• Pull and prepare orders for shipment by labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking products.
• Verify orders for accurate placement in staging lines.
• Help maintain warehouse security and safety by keeping the work area clean and orderly and cleaning trailers and truck bays as requested.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• When assigned to the freezer, load and unload freight from trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform additional duties as directed.
