The Material Handler supports production by moving materials using a forklift and other equipment as needed. This role ensures the accurate flow of inventory and maintains cleanliness in work areas. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience operating forklift trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Capability to train other employees as needed.
  • Adherence to all safety rules and regulations, including completing forklift inspection sheets.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Replenishes stock, components, and cleans dunnage in work cells.
  • Accurately scans materials or enters data into software for inventory management.
  • Inspects finished skids for missing parts, ensures tag accuracy, initials tags, bands skid, completes stock transfer forms, and places items in the warehouse.
  • Maintains cleanliness in work cells, warehouse, outside breezeway, and dunnage storage areas.
  • Loads and unloads trucks, sorts materials, packs parts, and organizes the warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the MP&L Manager.
