About The Position
The Material Handler supports production by moving materials using a forklift and other equipment as needed. This role ensures the accurate flow of inventory and maintains cleanliness in work areas.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience operating forklift trucks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Capability to train other employees as needed.
- Adherence to all safety rules and regulations, including completing forklift inspection sheets.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Replenishes stock, components, and cleans dunnage in work cells.
- Accurately scans materials or enters data into software for inventory management.
- Inspects finished skids for missing parts, ensures tag accuracy, initials tags, bands skid, completes stock transfer forms, and places items in the warehouse.
- Maintains cleanliness in work cells, warehouse, outside breezeway, and dunnage storage areas.
- Loads and unloads trucks, sorts materials, packs parts, and organizes the warehouse and surrounding areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the MP&L Manager.
