About The Position

The Material Handler assists in producing quality parts by safely transporting parts and materials throughout the production facility and helping dispose of waste product properly. The role operates industrial forklifts to move materials and manually handles parts and supplies for production lines at a fast pace. The starting wage is $19.00 per hour, with shift differentials of $2.00 per hour for second shift and $3.00 per hour for third shift. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift experience and experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, and attention to detail.
Ability to use an RF scanner.
Knowledge of safety practices.
Verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial forklifts to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, or similar location.
Manually handle parts and supply production lines at a fast pace.
Route, count, and inspect items while loading and unloading trucks.
Deliver and return items.
Scan items for inventory.
Follow all safety rules.
Assist in the proper disposal of waste product.
Perform other miscellaneous duties deemed necessary by the supervisor.
