About The Position

This role involves various material handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials, examining documents for storage, pulling and moving materials to production or shipping areas, documenting information, packaging and labeling materials, and performing inventory counts. The position requires working with moderate supervision and proficiency in kitting, receiving, and put-away processes. The material handler will check goods against purchase orders, invoices, or lists, and physically move parts. Efficiency, adherence to quality and safety standards, and computer proficiency (MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) are essential.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and adhere to company safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to follow the procedures, techniques, tools and processes appropriate to material handling.
  • Excellent time management skills, maintain regular contact with site on route status, delays, or potential hazards.
  • Good math skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Climbs stair ladders some of the time, uses step stools some of the time, may use a pallet jack.
  • 2-3 years of material handling and outside processing or related experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts or materials from delivery vehicles.
  • Examine documents for storage destination.
  • Pull stored materials and move to production or shipping area.
  • Document information relating to part numbers, counts, storage locations.
  • Package and label materials according to specifications.
  • Perform inventory counts as requested.
  • Work with moderate supervision.
  • Be proficient in pulling and distributing of parts (kitting, receiving, put away).
  • Check goods against purchase orders, invoices or lists.
  • Physically move parts up to 20' long into proper labeled locations.
  • Complete daily tasks quickly, efficiently and adhering to Quality and Safety standards.
  • Work at computer, with printer and has knowledge of MS Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Perform vehicle safety check as per company SOP and report any and all vehicle defect, mechanical issues, or accidents immediately to management.

Benefits

  • Pay range for this position is $19.33 to $32.84 per hour.
