About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for preparing, packaging, and labeling outgoing shipments, loading trucks efficiently and safely, and verifying shipment accuracy. This role involves operating warehouse equipment, maintaining organized work areas, and coordinating with various teams to meet shipping schedules. The position also requires inspecting shipments for damage, reporting discrepancies, and adhering to all safety guidelines and company policies. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred
• Forklift experience is preferred or willingness to become certified
• Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements
• Load trucks efficiently and safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement of goods
• Verify shipment accuracy against packing slips, bills of lading, and customer orders
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners (as certified)
• Maintain clean and organized dock and staging areas
• Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, and transportation teams to meet shipping schedules
• Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies or issues
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
