As a Material Handler at Jabil's Gurnee, IL facility, you will support stockroom and warehouse operations by ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe movement of materials throughout the manufacturing and support areas. Your role is essential in maintaining material availability, inventory accuracy, and overall production efficiency. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and Windows-based systems.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate within standardized procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, collect data, and support resolution efforts.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, documents, and visual aids.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in warehouse, stockroom, or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience with ERP systems and RF scanners preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute the movement of materials to support manufacturing production schedules.
  • Perform physical and system transactions for material replenishment across manufacturing areas.
  • Move materials to support functions outside production (e.g., shipping, parts prep, office personnel).
  • Utilize RF scanners to complete ERP transactions accurately.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required.
  • Maintain proper bin management and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Return excess or unused materials from manufacturing to stock using RF systems.
  • Properly dispose of scrap components in accordance with procedures.
  • Pull materials for purge activities as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
  • Verify physical movements and documentation to ensure alignment with system transactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, health, and company security policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
