Requirements

  • High School Graduate/G.E.D.
  • Must be able to handle a high paced environment while keeping safety the #1 priority.
  • Must have good eye/hand coordination, excellent manual dexterity including a skill to use hand and electrical tools, and an ability to read and comprehend numbers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and lift 87 to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Must be detailed oriented, possess good communication skills, and interact well with others.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures inventory control through correct placement of product within warehouse.
  • Ensures safety of people and materials in all locations by following Company guidelines on lifting, stacking, and operation of motorized equipment.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with safety policies and procedures to maintain a quality product during storage and shipment.
  • Operate motorized equipment (forklift and multi-directional equipment) safely, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment to move coils throughout the facility.
  • Correctly stage product in preparation for shipment.
  • Load coils onto roll forming and production equipment to ensure continuous machine operation and maximize production efficiency.
  • Change propane tanks on forklifts and report maintenance needs of motorized equipment.
  • Serve as a backup Cut-to-Length Machine Operator and receive cross-training on production equipment.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment.
  • Train on paperwork and RF Scanners.
  • Train for inventory and cycle counts.
  • Attend daily staff meetings to discuss KPI's.
  • Perform basic duties of a forklift operator.
  • Maintain an accurate time card daily.
  • Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location.
  • Secure the facility at the end of the workday, including closing and locking designated gates and access points.
