About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for operating machinery to accurately stock, receive and replenish product throughout the warehouse. This role also assists with fulfilling customer orders.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating various electric material handling equipment, including but not limited to Standing Electric Forklift, Hi-Lo Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Pallet Jack, Dock Machine, etc.
• Must demonstrate satisfactory operation of warehouse equipment as evaluated by Management
• 2+ years of experience in a fast paced warehouse environment
• Clear communication skills required
• Able to stand on feet the entire working day
• Able to bend, crouch and reach as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible with schedule; ability to work overtime due to business needs

Responsibilities

• Operates all electric material handling equipment to move, locate, stack, store, replenish and count merchandise using a hand held scanner
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment in accordance with company standards, including conducting pre inspection and wearing proper safety gear
• Compares identifying information and counts items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy against orders or other records
• Assembles shipping boxes, maintains warehouse supplies and inventory levels
• Assists other departments as needed, including but not limited to Order Selecting, Shipping, Verifying and Returns
• Assists in ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and organized
• Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position
• Additional duties as needed
