About The Position

At USA Insulation, you will be responsible for safely producing chemical products that meet quality specifications in a timely and efficient manner. You will learn how to mix and blend liquid components, Resin and Foaming Agent Concentrate (FAC), to produce our proprietary foam insulation. You will support all facets of running a manufacturing facility, including but not limited to, shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods, inventory counting, participation in the safety program, and housekeeping of the facility both inside and outside. You will ensure that sufficient materials are available for production according to our manufacturing schedule and you will assist in maintaining production equipment. This role will provide support in all aspects of plant/facility and building maintenance as well as warehouse support.

Requirements

  • Meeting standard batch ticket cycle times while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Taking appropriate action to prevent safety or quality issues.
  • Communicating with supervisor regarding goals or deadlines.
  • Managing paperwork associated with shipping/receiving.
  • Interacting with department members to share innovative ideas.
  • Performing equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance.
  • Cleaning and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the plant/facility, both inside and outside.
  • Using a powered floor scrubber.
  • Fulfilling outgoing finished goods orders.
  • Unloading drum trucks.
  • Receiving raw materials.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in meeting production schedule goals by completing assignments as delegated.
  • Overall responsibility for delivering raw materials to the manufacturing process, including pre-weighting and blending materials according to batch guidelines and using a tow motor to bring RAWS to the process.
  • Works with Production Leadership to train on batch production, which includes adding chemicals at specific weights and times and using a pH meter to verify the status of the batch.
  • Follows all quality policies, operating instructions, and production procedures to ensure quality product is produced.
  • Monitors batch while in process to closely observe the quality of output.
  • Responsible for meeting standard batch ticket cycle times while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Takes appropriate action, including shutdown of process, to prevent safety or quality issues.
  • Properly communicates to supervisor when it appears that a goal or deadline will not be met.
  • Responsible for inventory of raw materials and finished goods, as well as pallets, drums, jugs, boxes, and other necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for packaging and shipping of all finished goods.
  • Responsible for receiving RAWS and putting them away in the warehouse.
  • Manages the paperwork associated with the shipping/receiving process.
  • Strives for continuous improvement by interacting with department members to share innovative ideas for improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance to include but not limited to filters, scales, hand tools, tow motors, etc.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to include but not limited to tow motors, scales, filters, batch kettle, etc.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of plant/facility, both inside and outside with a focus on the floor.
  • Use of a powered floor scrubber.
  • Fulfilling all outgoing finished goods orders.
  • Unloading drum truck.
  • Receiving raw materials and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
