Molding - Material Handler - Shift D (7:30PM -7:30AM)

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Molding Shift Supervisor/Packer Supervisor/Process Technician, the Material Handler is responsible for delivering packing supplies to the Molding production floor from the Warehouse and to deliver boxes stacked on pallet to Warehouse.
Requirements
- Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Experience/Field: Previous experience handling the electric hand truck would be an asset
- Licenses/Permits Required: Certified in operating a walkie pallet truck
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
- Physical Requirements: must be able to perform the Physical Activity Demands listed below
- Must have the ability to lift more than 30 pounds, stand and walk for long periods of time
- The Material Handler position includes reaching above and below shoulder height, kneeling, bending, and repetitive movements such as gripping, grasping, pushing and pulling
Responsibilities
- Responsible for wrapping and delivering completed molded skids, ensuring the boxes are placed on the skid as per the packing specifications
- Tightly wrap the skid so that the boxes are properly secured
- Create Pallet ID for all skids of products produced
- Perform Molding and IML production MP transaction scanning
- Deliver the wrapped skid to the warehouse for storage
- Assist in transporting products for QC to and from the Warehouse
- Responsible to keeping records of pallet ID created during MP transaction for tracking purposes
- During the shift, the Material Handler must replenish all packing supplies at the scheduled machines by following IPS at the machine and sign offline clearance sheet
- Replenish empty skids on the production floor
- Remove broken or damaged skids to the warehouse
- Replenish the tape machine when it is empty
- Keep records of corrugates, liner bags and U boards brought to production floor for traceability
- Responsible for Line Clearance during product change
- Collect purge and drool twice during the shift, as well as scrap bags from the production floor and place it in blue bins
- Clear any scrap products lying around the machine area and place them into scrap bins
- Responsible for re-charging the battery of the electric hand truck when low
- Perform daily checks on the pallet truck and keep records, reporting any issues to the supervisor
- Remove scrap bins/gaylords from the floor once full and replace them with empty bins.
- Make sure that all corrugates delivered in production area are free from straps and that there are no loose straps left on the floor.
- Make sure that there are not excessive pallets and box bundles brought and/or stores on the production floor.
- Perform other duties as assigned
