About The Position

Under direct supervision, performs routine activities associated with various types of assembly machine operation and/or setup. This is a rotating night shift position with a 2-2-3 schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including weekends and holidays as required. The role involves operating production machinery, ensuring parts meet specifications, measuring finished parts, and maintaining production logs. The Material Handler is also responsible for equipment inspection, basic maintenance, and maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all safety regulations. The position requires the ability to follow directions, work well in a team, interpret job specifications, and possess a solid understanding of production equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent)
1-2 years of relevant experience
Follow directions and work well in a team.
Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
Solid understanding of the production equipment.

Responsibilities

Operates mostly routine production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
Performs mostly routine activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Maintains logs and records of units produced.
Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs mostly basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
Follow safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
