About The Position

Richelieu Foods is seeking a first-shift Material Handler for its Beaver Dam, Wisconsin location. The role transports supplies to production lines or pre-batch areas, puts warehouse picks away, and coordinates with internal customers and other Material Handlers to support efficient operations. The employee is responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices and maintaining sanitation and housekeeping in the work area. The position also involves reporting issues or concerns to the appropriate departments or supervisors and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of consistent and safe stand-up forklift operation.
Ability to read and understand line schedules and material needs.
Positive attendance record.
Safe operation of a stand-up forklift.
Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to work cooperatively and maintain professional working relationships with employees.
Flexibility.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Transport needed supplies correctly and on time to the required production line or pre-batch area.
Communicate with internal customers to determine the proper quantities and placement of needed items.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain sanitation and housekeeping in the work area.
Properly put away warehouse picks.
Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient department operations.
Inform appropriate departments or supervisors of issues or concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
