About The Position

Ascend Clinical, LLC is a high-volume clinical laboratory that processes millions of tests each month and provides clinical and healthcare water testing. The Material Handler is primarily responsible for correctly labeling and staging orders on designated pallets and entering data for FedEx and UPS to prepare orders for delivery. The role also supports warehouse operations, shipping, inventory accuracy, and customer interactions.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid California driver's license with a clean record.
Experience with warehouse management systems or computerized inventory systems using RF technology, such as scanning guns.
Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to read and work with large product numbers.
Ability to work efficiently and perform well under stress and time pressures.

Responsibilities

Receive, count, and stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Pick orders for shipping.
Verify inventory computations against physical stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and adjust errors.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses.
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain supplies, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Determine appropriate storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities.
Interact with customers regarding orders, shipping, and deliveries.
Support cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Correctly label and stage orders on designated pallets.
Enter FedEx and UPS data to prepare orders for delivery.
