About The Position

This full-time position works 40 hours per week, primarily on the night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The schedule includes weekends and rotating holidays, as well as day and evening shifts as required. Work hours depend on service demand and may include weekends, off-shifts, and holidays.

The Material Handler efficiently provides and maintains the consumable materials supply chain and related services in support of client organizations at Highland Hospital. The position carries out duties as outlined in the job description or as directed by the Materials Management Supervisor or Periop Supply Chain Supervisor. The hourly salary range is $19.27–$26.07; individual rates are set within the range based on factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft skills.
• Beginner-level proficiency with computer equipment, communications software, and spreadsheet software.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of previous storeroom, receiving, or similar materials-handling experience preferred.
• Materials experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with computer inventory software systems highly desirable.
• Basic spreadsheet and software communications experience highly desirable.
