About The Position

ADM is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift at their Quincy, IL location. This full-time role involves managing grain throughout the facility, ensuring quality and segregation, and performing various operational duties. The position requires adherence to safety and quality standards, effective communication, and participation in team meetings. Successful candidates will also be involved in training new colleagues and may be required to work overtime.

Requirements

18 years or older
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
Ensure product quality expectations are met.
Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required.
Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.
Work with other colleagues to effectively communicate production issues.
Participate in morning toolbox, shift exchange/review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.
Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues.
Required to work overtime as specified by management.
Attend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of department order of operations.
Knowledge of the process of Sampling, weighing, generating customer tickets, and dumping customer grain trucks.
Operate the PAX equipment management software.
Sweep out grain bins and scrape hoppers to remove remaining grain.
Training on grain grading proficiency.
Knowledge of all company environmental and safety rules.
Work in situations where human error could result in financial loss or personal injury.
Place grain throughout the facility and ensure grain is segregated as needed to maintain good quality in storage tanks.
Rotate product as necessary.
Perform housekeeping duties.
Effectively communicate production issues with colleagues.
Participate in morning toolbox, shift exchange/review and response meetings to communicate key process indicator performance.
Provide mentoring and training to new colleagues once qualified.
Work overtime as specified by management.
Attend training classes in-plant or at other locations as assigned.
