About The Position

This is a Material Handler position for a Medical Device Company in El Paso, TX. The role is a 12-month contract on W2, requiring US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT. The shift is the 1st shift, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The pay range is $16-$20/hr. The job involves handling moderately complex assignments where recognizing deviations from accepted practices is necessary. The role requires judgment in locating and storing items, proper packaging, material movement methods, and material release. The ability to work independently and in a team setting is important. The position may involve preparing goods for domestic and international shipment, maintaining accurate logs (written and computer), and understanding receiving and/or distribution functions. Responsibilities may include conducting cycle counts for inventory accuracy and making effective decisions related to position requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED required
• Must be able to pay continuous attention to detailed operations.

Nice To Haves

• Sit down and stand up Forklift experience preferred
• Operator license preferred
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills preferred.
• Ability to safely operate all required preferred

Responsibilities

• Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
• Uses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of movement of materials, and release of materials.
• Ability to work independently as required.
